Job Description

This intermediate specialist will implement sound change leadership methodology across particular change initiatives (projects) or participate as a team member for moderately complex change projects. This may include leading change projects as assigned, implementing tools as needed, working with key audiences impacted and those supporting the change, and helping to integrate across other projects as appropriate. This specialist further interacts with mid-level leadership to raise effective change awareness, keep leadership apprised of project status, and ensure effective change process and decision-making. The incumbent generally collaborates closely with the Organizational Design and Development team which is responsible for the corporate change leadership methodology. He or she may coach other specialists.


  • Acts as an advocate for children. Raises awareness of the needs of children and takes active steps to help protect against neglect, abuse, and exploitation of children. Promotes the dignity, respect, positive treatment, potential of children in all circumstances. Encourages the involvement of others in helping children in need. Reports and appropriately supports responses to incidents of harm of children if they occur.
  • Collaborates with Global Program team and national office to identify and implement a sound and comprehensive change leadership methodology, process, and tools within assigned change initiative(s) - both global and local in scope. Leverages general understanding of the foundational phases of a sound change leadership process to successfully develop a case for change, identify change impacts by audience, plan and communicate engagements to prepare, equip, and support impacted audiences, prepare and support change leaders, and assess overall change readiness and adoption.
  • Thinks proactively across change initiatives. Works with Global Program and national office teams and other key stakeholders to continuously improve a solid Compassion change leadership methodology. Helps socialize and implement.
  • Helps to educate and orient employees to the change methodology and processes at Compassion as needed.
  • Ensures own project assignments and contributions align with project goals, other related group-level strategy and objectives, and is consistent with the corporate change leadership framework and methodology.
  • Supports change integration across projects and initiatives within the scope of own work. Works to identify change readiness and adoption across common audiences as needed.
  • Takes opportunities to promote sound change leadership methodology and serves as a change leadership resource.
  • The incumbent may provide expertise to other professionals and support staff in the change leadership discipline.


  • Accountable for supporting, upholding, and engaging in Compassion's core "Cultural Behaviors" in all internal and external communication and relationships.


  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Quality Management, or related discipline.

Work Experience

  • 3+ years experience working in this or similar position or field.

Licenses and Certifications

  • Professional in Project Management (PMP) certification preferred but not required.

Equivalent education, training and/or certification may be substituted for experience and education shown above

Travel Requirements: May be required to travel up to 10% of normal schedule
