Manulife Indonesia is seeking a self-motivated Senior Internal Audit, who is obsessed with delivering value, is forward-thinking, and excited to see the successful implementation of the products they deliver. They will have direct responsibility for multiple simultaneous projects

We are looking for someone with:

  • A recognized accounting (CPA) or auditing (CIA, CFSA, CISA) designation
  • Minimum of Bachelor degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Minimum of 8 years audit (internal and/or external) experience or equivalent business experience
  • Good knowledge with Microsoft Office, and use of computer assisted audit techniques (CAATs) using tools such as Excel, ACL, or IDEA
  • Excellent English (written and oral)

Nice to Haves:

  • Excellent knowledge of audit methodologies, project management, system development methodologies, control frameworks and risk management practices, and regulatory requirements

On the job you will:

  • Completes audit assignments in accordance with department standards
  • Manages assignments within time budgets and target dates, reporting any timing problems or budget over-runs to the project lead or Head of Audit Services, Asia (Indonesia)
  • Conduct or lead multiple simultaneous audit projects (including branch audits) including determining the audit scope, identifying controls and designing test programs.
  • Understand and agree with management the risks being managed by business unit; develop risk management objectives and audit programs to evaluate these risks.
  • Understand key processes within IT or non-IT project management
  • Perform, document or review audit testing based on the key controls. Conclude the control design and operating effectiveness.
  • Assess the achievement of risk management control objectives
  • Present issues and recommendations to business unit management; resolve contentious issues and reach agreement on appropriate solutions to risk management and operational efficiency issues.
  • Prepare audit reports, including executive summary and rating of adequacy of control, making practical and value-added recommendations to improve controls and the efficiency and effectiveness. Audits reports are to be clear, concise and well-organized, and issued within departmental service standards
  • Provide guidance to junior staff on the audit methodology as well as Manulife’s operations
  • Review and decision making process regarding closure of outstanding audit follow up items
  • Provide feedback to staff assisting on assignments as well as direct reports and contribute to their development and performance appraisals
  • Participate in any Company projects as an advisory role based on the assignment form the Head of Audit Services, Asia (Indonesia)
  • Maintain good working relationships with the auditee, external audit or any relevant organization.
  • Actively lead or participate in the Audit Services’ initiatives
