Job Description

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 15 years of relevant work experience in product marketing, brand marketing, direct marketing, marketing strategy or consulting.
  • Ability to speak and write in English and Bahasa Indonesia fluently to support and communicate with clients in Indonesia, Philippines and South Asian Frontier.

Preferred qualifications:

  • MBA or advanced degree in a related field.
  • Demonstrated capacity for analyzing products, customers, market dynamics, and working on a variety of product related challenges.
  • Understanding of Google's strategic and competitive position, and demonstrated capacity and strong aptitude for determining the optimal way to position products in the market and keen understanding of the search, online advertising, or web publishing markets.
  • Proven track record of success in managing direct and cross-functional teams to increase company business growth and awareness through well-executed marketing efforts.

About the job

As a Marketing Director, you are a fully dedicated business leader, shaping the future of one of our many Google products. Whether you're on a consumer product (like Gmail, Search, Maps, Chrome, Android) or a business product (Google Ads, AdSense, Google Marketing Platform, Analytics), you take part in a complete marketing experience as you lead every facet of the product's journey. From determining positioning, naming, competitive analysis, feature prioritization and external communications, you help shape the voice of the product and help it grow a loyal consumer base. This means you work with a cross-functional team across sales, corporate communications, legal, webmasters, product development, engineering and more. In this role, you'll be involved with product marketing strategy from beginning to end. In this role you will play a critical role in closely supporting and assisting the General Manager for Indonesia, Philippines, and South Asian Frontier in formulating strategies and realizing the region’s full potential.

  • Pioneer the search and online brand advertising markets, supporting Google's growth and business generating efforts in Indonesia and other emerging markets, and create a strong localised view and go-to-market strategies on global approaches around new product launches.
  • Drive the development and implementation of Google Indonesia's marketing plans for consumer, advertiser and publisher products (including marketing campaigns) in partnership with products, sales, PR and BD teams.
  • Evaluate consumer marketing opportunities and initiate programs to increase awareness of Google products through development of creative programs, brand awareness campaigns and promotions.
  • Develop a truly local brand which will strengthen Google’s reputation brand position in the markets in which we operate.
  • Drive country digital ecosystem efforts to support the development of digital economies, enabling Google's sustained growth momentum among local businesses and users.
