About the role

Key responsibilities

  • Lead and manage our supply chain team to ensure the products arrive on spec, on time every time.
  • Provide direct reports with leadership, direction and coaching to achieve work objectives and improve performance and skills.
  • Regularly review performance development of the staff to help improve performance over time.
  • Optimise forecast modelling and collaborate with commercial teams to ensure accurate forecasts to deliver business expectations
  • Develop the supply plans needed to maintain the optimal inventory levels and ensure timely placing of purchase orders to intercompany and external suppliers.
  • Develop an effective relationship with suppliers (internal and external)
  • Monitor the performance levels of the suppliers and escalate supply issues in a constructive manner.
  • Collaborate with other departments to identify vulnerabilities and close operational gaps through the weekly Supply Chain Issue Management (SCIM) meeting.
  • Set the appropriate inventory targets to ensure service commitments in line with budget/forecasts and Develop inventory and replenishment strategies that achieve goals for delivery and cost
  • Actively participate in the local Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process in line with the regional framework and timetable covering each of the key elements (Product Review, Demand Review, Supply Review and Executive S&OP) on a monthly basis.
  • Support Commercialisation projects in relation to Supply Chain
  • Work cross functionally to create an optimal supply base and product portfolio aimed at improving stock turns, reducing stock at risk and write off cost.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement/strategic opportunities for supply chain improvement and support dynamic changes in market conditions
  • Develop annual business plans with the appropriate prioritization and resourcing based on local and regional management directives.
  • Use given key performance indicators (local, regional, global), monitor and report ongoing performance and improve performance against set goals.
  • Drive or support local, regional or global projects to improve performance as and when requested.

Qualifications and skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree in supply chain, engineering, or technical discipline
  • 5+ years of experience in any Supply Chain roles within a manufacturing facility preferably food or beverage experience
  • Intermediate to advanced computer skills and applications such as Excel, SAP and Power BI
  • Continuous Improvement mindset and the ability to drive initiatives and change
  • APICS certification is a plus
